Rylee Grace Pizani

Rylee Grace Pizani, born on July 15, 2004, beautiful daughter of Calvin and Lindsey Pizani III of Marrero, Louisiana gained her Angel wings on March 27, 2024, at the age of 19, after a courageous battle with Brain Cancer. Rylee began her battle at the age of 13 in New Orleans at Tulane Hospital. She went on to be a patient at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis, TN for 6 years. Rylee lost her battle surrounded by family, friends, and her loyal four-legged companion (Ryder) at her home. Rylee was a sweet soul and never complained when she honestly had every right to. Rylee is survived by her mother Lindsey Caldarera Pizani, her father Calvin Pizani III, sister Calee, brother Landen, and her loving boyfriend of 5 years Hayden Thomas, who never left her side and always made her smile (mother Cat Thomas). Grandparents Calvin Pizani Jr., Allison Rojas Pizani, Mark Caldarera Sr., Julie Oncale Caldarera. Great Grandparents Cathy McEvers Rojas (Kerry Rojas Sr., (deceased) Salvador Caldarera Sr., Phyllis Hoorman Caldarera, (John Oncale, deceased), (Mary Oncale, deceased), (Shirley Machella, deceased), (James Machella Sr., deceased). Aunt and Uncles Hayley Otero (Cody), Mark Caldarera (Jenna), Logan Caldarera (Mark). Cousins Mason, Kaiden, Hayes, Zoe’ and Levi. She was the loving Godmother of Brooklyn Rasco. Also, survived by numerous other aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Rylee loved babies especially her Levi, Everly, Roman, and Riley Kate, who all adored her as well. She loved family beach trips, softball, arts and crafts, baking, shopping, and getting her nails done. She never ended a phone call or said good-bye without saying “I love you”. She will be forever loved and never forgotten.

Visitation will be held on Monday, April 1, 2024, at Visitation of Our Lady Church - 3500 Ames Blvd., Marrero, LA 70072. Visitation for immediate family begins at 9:15AM, Visitation for friends begins at 10:00AM, and Mass will start at 12:30PM. Burial will be at St. Pius X – 8151 Barataria Blvd. Marrero, LA 70072.

We would like to thank Rylee’s medical team at St. Jude, especially Dr. Robinson, Neuro-Oncologist, Nicole, NP, Heather, RN, and Dr. Klimo, Neurosurgeon, who gave us six more precious years with our Rylee. Also, Heart of Hospice, especially, Dr. Joplin, Mechy, Christy, and Bridgette, who supported us in our greatest time of need and showed so much love to Rylee.
