Scott was preceded in death by his grandparents: Dr. Russell and Manuella Ribando; George and Wilberta Wunderlich; and Carl and Shirley Duplessis.
Scott was a lifelong Westbank resident, a proud alumnus of Visitation of Our Lady Catholic School (’99) and Archbishop Shaw High School (’03). Scott was also a member of the Visitation Men’s Club and served twice as Fair Chair of the VOL Cajun Fest, where he built lasting friendships and a deep love for his community and his faith.
Scott worked for over 20 years at the family business, Wego Electric, alongside his dad, Neil Sr., and brother, Neil Jr., where he was known for his integrity, dedication, and strong work ethic. He later transitioned to serve as a Master Electrician at Rob’s Air Conditioning & Heating, where he was proud to work with his dear friends Steven and Jessica Goodwin. Scott and Priscilla also ventured into small business ownership, opening a successful franchise location of Roule Rolled Ice Cream in Gretna, LA, through a partnership with his cousins, Russell and Brandi Ribando. No matter where he worked, Scott was the one you could count on to get the job done and make you smile along the way.
Scott’s life was defined not by titles or accolades, but by how he showed up for his family, his friends, and his community. Whether through a listening ear, a helping hand, or a quiet act of service, Scott made an impact wherever he went. His strength, kindness, and unwavering faith were evident even in his most difficult days.
He met every challenge with courage and grace, inspiring those around him to live with gratitude and love more deeply. Even in illness, Scott continued to be a source of calmness and hope for those closest to him. His journey was not defined by hardship but by the unwavering light he carried throughout his life.
Scott cherished life’s simple pleasures were cheering on the New Orleans Saints, peaceful mornings on the water fishing, soaking up the sun at the beach, and setting sail on cruises with family and friends. These moments brought him joy, laughter, and lasting memories.
