Beloved wife of Juan (Tony) Otero of 22 years.

Loving mother of Antonio (Pio) Otero (Skyler Erlinger), Alena M. Otero, Alani E. Otero, and Amani C. Otero.

Raised by her loving and devoted late grandparents Harrington Joseph Matherne and Maria Carillo Matherne.

Daughter of Daniel Bourgeois (Veronica Thibodeaux) and Edith Matherne.

Sister of Elizabeth M. Bourgeois, Daniel Y. Bourgeois, Desiree B. Lewis (Southerner-Suddy), Nicholas A. Bourgeois (Heidi), Jared M. Bourgeois (Tracy Lynn) and Brian J. Matherne (Traci).

Devoted Grandmother of Talia Marie Otero.

Beloved Daughter-in-law of Angel Otero, and Lucia E. Otero.

Sister in law of Cruz A Otero, and Angel L. Otero (Christy).

Godmother to Christen Adams, Shaylie Bourgeois, Summer Lewis and Shaylyn Delaune.

Also survived by a host of Nieces, Nephews, Other Relatives and Friends.

She was proceeded in death by her stepbrother Billy Anthony Thibodeaux.

Shantell spent most of her adult life as a member of the Down South Rollers Car Club and was involved in helping organize many charitable events for families and children in need. She is also a member of USO Family. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother and enjoyed spending time with her whole family.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Services from the Chapel of Westside/Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 5101 Westbank Expressway, Marrero, LA on Thursday April 17, 2025 at 5:00 PM. Visitation will begin at 1:00 PM until Service Time. Interment will be private.
