Ms. Shirley Robert

Shirley Mae Champagne Robert, 79, was called to her heavenly home on Saturday, October 16, 2010, in the comfort of her home with family by her side. Beloved wife of the late Stuart Joseph Robert. Shirley was a life time resident of Ama and Luling and is preceded in death by her parents, Griffin and Evelyn Robert Champagne, and her brother and sisters: Enola C. Dubea, Evelyn C. Ford, James J. Champagne, and Jennie M. Champagne. Always one to cherish time with her family, Shirley is survived by her loving children: Neil F. Robert and his wife Diane, Gina R. Tregre and her husband Glenn, Sonia R. Campo and her husband Keith, Sue R. Melerine and her husband Jerry, and Julie R. Belsom and her husband Karl. Her grandchildren were her world, and she is survived by: Lauren Campo Pitz and her husband Shawn, Blake Tregre, Brandon Campo, Ian and Cortney Robert, and Kristi Belsom, as well as two step-grandchildren, Brock Tregre and Richelle Melerine . Step great grandmother of Kayla Melerine , Nicholas Fontaine, Dakota, and Braxden Tregre. As a member of the Holy Family Busy Bees, Shirley enjoyed taking regular trips with the group, especially to the casino. She was a retired worker of the US Postal Service. The family would especially like to thank Diane North and Beryl Trepina for the compassionate care given to their mother and the tremendous support to them. A special thanks also to Renee Payne, CNA, Chrishana Agee, RN and Joey Williams, RN.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church, #1 Rectory Lane at River Road, Hahnville, LA on Wednesday, October 20, 2010 at 11:00 AM. Followed by interment in St. Charles Crucifixion Mausoleum, Luling, LA.

Visitation on Wednesday morning after 9:00 AM until 11:00 am at Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church.
