Stephen "Cal" Calcagno Sr.

Stephen Paul “Cal” Calcagno, Sr. earned his wings on March 25, 2022 at the age of 59. He was born in Marrero, Louisiana to Norfier Calcagno, Jr. and the late Elizabeth “Betty” Tassin Calcagno. Loving father of Heather Cooper, Cali Calcagno and Stephen Calcagno, Jr. (Kayla). Proud grandfather of Donte’, Rylan, Sanyia, Aisley, Parker and Corinne. Brother of Elizabeth Calcagno (Monty) and Kim Calcagno (Kevin). Loving uncle of Chantelle and Danielle. Cal was also survived by his dearest friends, Antonio Tatum (Nichole) and Bubby.

Cal a very loving, compassionate person. He would go out of his way to help anyone and made friends where ever he went. He loved being outdoors hunting and fishing. He lived every day to its fullest and enjoyed making everyone laugh. He did what he wanted, when he wanted, as he wanted. He was a strong man that never let anything get him down. No matter what he was going through, he put others before himself. Cal worked as a commercial fisherman most of his life. After Katrina, he relocated to Summerfield, Louisiana where he began working as a carpenter and masonry, building showers and laying ceramic tile. He was a perfectionist in everything he did and took great pride in his work. Cal was loved by everyone who knew him and will be dearly missed.
