

Thomas A. Lingoni Jr. passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on January 13, 2026, at the age of 87. He was born on February 21, 1938 in Algiers, Louisiana to the late Thomas A. Lingoni, Sr. and Bernice Carpenter Lingoni. Thomas was married to Emily Lobue Lingoni for 65 loving years. Devoted father of Thomas P. Lingoni (Gail Marie LeBouef), the late Shelly Marie Lingoni Barrios, and Chris M. Lingoni, Sr. (Morelsa Martinez Lingoni). Grandfather "Paw" of nine grandchildren, ten great grandchildren and one on the way. Brother of Lynne Lingoni, Kathy Lingoni Luke (Sid Luke), and Helen Lingoni Brown (the late Edward Brown). Thomas is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends who will miss him dearly.
Thomas was a graduate of West Jefferson High School, class of 1957. After high school, he joined the United States Air Force and served overseas before being honorably discharged. He worked at Brown & Root Fabricators, then started his own business of Comfort Services A/C and Heating. He later purchased and ran Lido Italian Restaurant with his wife and various family members. Thomas was a recipient of the St. Louis Medal. He was a devout Catholic and a member of the Immaculate Conception Church Parish.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00AM on Saturday, January 17, 2026 in the chapel of Westside/Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 5101 Westbank Expressway in Marrero, Louisiana. A visitation will begin at 9:00AM and continue until the Mass time. Following the Mass, Thomas will be laid to rest at Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Gretna, Louisiana where Air Force Honors will be rendered.
