Valentine “Tin” (Serigny) Slayton passed away peacefully in her sleep at the age of 77 on May 26, 2025, in Marrero, LA. Born on April 13, 1948, in Barataria, LA to (late) George Cliffton Serigny Sr and (late) Marie Venetia (Verdin) Serigny. Preceded in death by her husband Randall S.T. Slayton. Mother of Phyllis S. Thompson and Dale G. Slayton. Grandmother of Jacob R. Thompson, Jessica M. Thompson, Alexander M. Slayton and Cole V. Slayton. Great Grandmother of Jacob A. Thompson Jr. Survived by her brother and two sisters, George Cliffton Serigny Jr, Anerina (Serigny) Billot and Georgiana (Serigny) Gibbs. Aunt to many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Service at 2:00PM on Saturday, June 14, 2025 at Westside/Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 5101 Westbank Expressway, Marrero, LA. A visitation will begin at 10:00AM and continue until the service time.
