Zulma Marie Schellhaas

Zulma Marie Parks Schellhaas, wife of Kenneth Schellhaas and widow of the late Horace “T-Boy” Boudreaux, on October 28, 2024, at the age of 63 years, passed away in the surrounds of her family’s wholehearted love. She is survived by her beloved children and grandchildren: Richard Daniel Guidry Jr., partner of Tyler Murry; Christina Noel Guidry, mother of Crystiana Roig-Guidry and Cecilia Roig; Jade Parks Kuhn, wife of Gary Kuhn and mother of Austin and Klaus Kuhn; and Blair Boone Boggs, wife of Nicholas Boggs and mother of Claudia and Benjamin Alexis and Harley and Scarlett Boggs.

Zulma was preceded in death by her parents: Rosalie Danos Parks and Lawrence Patrick Parks Jr.; her sister Susan Parks; and her brother Dale Parks, who is survived by his children: Susan, Dale Jr., and Brittany. She is also survived by her brother Lawrence III, called Pat, father of Michelle, Wayne, and Cassandra; her sister Robin, mother of Beau and Heather; and her sister Rhonda, mother of Kirt, Kelly, David, Amy, Kelsey, and Gavin.

Zulma’s Catholic faith served as a guiding light in her life, and she cherished each day operating her online store, All Things Catholic. She found great joy in creative expression and could master any craft or activity she attempted. Zulma loved sharing that creativity with others through items she made for her store and, earlier in life, through her role as the proud Girl Scout leader of her daughter’s troop. Her love for animals was profound, and her chihuahuas, Edward and Tinkerbell, were her constant companions. In her home, she delighted in giving every room a unique theme and decorating beautifully for each holiday. Her sincere warmth, laughter, and joking humor will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated in the Chapel of Westside Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 5101 Westbank Expressway, Marrero, on Tuesday, November 5, 2024 at 1:00 PM. Visitation will begin at 9:00 AM. Interment will follow in Westlawn Cemetery. Express condolences at www.westsideleitzeagan.com.
