

Ann was born December 20, 1941 to Ernest and Madie Powell. She was a devoted and active member of Belair Baptist Church. She served on the Food Committee, Ladies’ Prayer Group, Senior Group and sang in the choir. Ann was an avid country and western square dancer and enjoyed ballroom dancing as well; she especially loved the Waltz and Foxtrot. Ann was employed by Richmond County Board of Education and she retired as Lunchroom Manager for Bayvale Elementary School after 34years of service.
Ann was preceded in death by her parents, her husband; Thomas Edward Clyde, sister, Goldie Hitchcock and a step-grandson Matthew Darr. She leaves to cherish her memories; her step- children Rhonda Clifford and Christie Clyde; siblings, Ernest Powell Jr., Helen Harris, James (Pam) Powell; one step-great grandson Jade Darr and several close relatives and friends.
The family will be receiving friends from 6 PM until 8PM on Thursday evening October 15, 2015 at the funeral home.
Funeral services for Ann will be held 11 AM Friday October 16, 2015 at the Columbia Rd chapel of Elliott Sons Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Westover Memorial Park.
