Anna Jo Payne Redmond

Ms. Redmond loved her church. She attended the 2nd service of the Church of Christ in October of 1943, in the Augusta area. Since then, she has attended Central Church of Christ on Central Avenue, Richmond Hill Rd. and in Evans, GA. She enjoyed serving in the church by working in the nursery. She served at Doctor’s Hospital burn unit by cooking for families who were visiting their loved ones in the hospital. Ms. Redmond enjoyed cooking and was known for her baked beans and pound cake.

Ms. Redmond is preceded in death by her husband, William Joseph Redmond Jr.; and infant daughter, Susan Carol Redmond. Survivors include her children, Phillip Allan Redmond (Fiancé, Amanda) of Monroe, Ga and Michael David Redmond (Susan) of Columbia, SC; grandchildren, Laura Redmond (Joe Jurisa), Emiliy Barber (Kenny) and Nathan Redmond (Sydni); great-grandson, Jackson Redmond Barber; and siblings, Barbara Payne Maddox and Charles Payne (Gayle) of Texas.

Graveside services will be held at 11am, Thursday, December 22, 2016 at Hillcrest Memorial Park with Mr. Trent Mercer officiating. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Evans Church of Christ, 515 Gibbs Rd. Evans, GA 30809.
