

Funeral services will be held at 2p.m. on Wednesday, June 8, 2016 in the Sanctuary Church with Pastor Bryan Cockrell officiating. Burial will be in the Westover Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, June 7, 2016 in the Elliott Sons Funeral Home Columbia Rd.
Mr. Barton was a lifelong resident of the Augusta Area. He was a member of the Sanctuary Church and active in the Men’s Group. He was an entrepreneur and loved new business endeavors. He was the owner of Barton’s Laundry Equipment Inc. and had several laundromats in the
Augusta area. His father opened the very first laundromat in the Augusta around 1958. He never met a stranger and was very outgoing. He was a loving family man and his daughters were his heart.
Survivors include his daughters, April (Gerald) Hutto, Kelly Barton-Nichols, Krissy Barton, his brother and sisters, Bill (Kay) Barton, Bette (Earl) Gregory, Eddie (Thelma) Barton, Bobby (Darlene) Barton. His Grandchildren, Brandon Hutto, Nathan Hutto, Justin Watkins, Landon Watkins, Jason Miller, Nyah Nichols, Noah Nichols. His nieces, Beth (Rob) Hamilton, Leslie Stephenson, his nephews, Trey Barton, and Michael (Kimmy) Barton.
Pallbearers will be Matt Paulos, Brandon Hutto, Michael Barton, Trey Macky, Bill Barton, Gerald Hutto, Earl Gregory, and Glenn Agner.
