

Mr. Bertram Dykes Harbin, 84, beloved husband of Jeanette Bodenhamer Harbin, entered into rest on Monday, February 16, 2015. Mr. Harbin was predeceased by his parents, Lollie Mae Dykes and James John Harbin.
Mr. Harbin was a lifelong resident of Augusta, a graduate of The Academy of Richmond County and The Junior College of Augusta. He served in the Air Force during the Korean Conflict. He owned and operated Dykes Coal and Fuel Company and was Media Sales Executive with WJBF Channel 6 for 45 years. Mr. Harbin was part of the General Aviation Commission – Daniel Field Airport and was instrumental in The Women’s Titleholders Championship Golf Tournament. He was a former member of The Augusta Country Club.
Memorial services will be held at Reid Memorial Presbyterian Church Friday afternoon, February 20, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. The Rev. Dr. Matthew A. Rich will officiate. A reception in Mr. Harbin’s honor will be held immediately following the service in the church fellowship hall.
In addition to his wife, Mr. Harbin is survived by his children, Virginia Lee Perhonish and husband Stan, Bertram Dykes Harbin, Jr. and wife Mary Leigh, Lauren Elizabeth Erramuzpe and husband Philippe; grandchildren, Bertram Dykes Harbin III, Frederick Hamilton Kuhlke Harbin, Mathieu Martin Erramuzpe, Franklin Thomas Perhonish, and Mary Angela Harbin; sister, Joanne Mueller.
