
Bobbie Jean Caldwell, aged 88, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 16, 2024, in Martinez, Georgia. Born on October 11, 1935, to the late Paul and Marie, she led a remarkable life filled with love, dedication, and adventure.
Bobbie’s early years were marked by her service in the United States Army as a nurse. Later, she discovered her passion for cake decorating—a skill that brought joy to many. Her unwavering faith anchored her, and she was an active member of The Sanctuary of Augusta, where she cherished her time with the Naomi Ladies Group.
Beyond her professional and spiritual pursuits, Bobbie found solace in her flower garden, relishing the simple act of tending to the earth. Her love for travel took her to distant lands, including Alaska, Europe, and China.
Preceded in death by her husband, Robert Caldwell, and her parents, Paul and Marie, and her brother Keneth Mixon. Bobbie leaves behind a legacy of love. Her daughters, Lisa (Randy) and Robin, along with grandchildren Robbie (Dawn), Randall (Summer), and Kyle (River), carry forward her spirit. Great-grandchildren Jordan, Samantha, Wheeler, Ray, Ryan, and Conner; and great-great grandchildren Parker and Serenity, will forever remember her warmth and wisdom.
In addition to her immediate family, Bobbie also leaves behind an extensive network of family and friends in her home state of Louisiana and across the rolling hills of North Carolina. Their memories of her laughter, kindness, and unwavering spirit will echo through generations.
A funeral service to honor Bobbie’s life will be held on Wednesday, February 21, 2024, from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Elliott Sons Funeral Home (4255 Columbia Rd, Martinez, Georgia 30907). Following the service, she will be laid to rest at Bellevue Memorial Gardens (4501 Wrightsboro Road, Grovetown, GA 30813).
