

Chuck was born on November 29, 1931 in Beaver Heights, MD to parents who immigrated to the United States from Lithuania as children. He grew up in Cheverly, MD with three older sisters. As a child he developed a love of playing the piano and continued to play throughout his life for the enjoyment of himself and others. He graduated from the University of Maryland in 1953 and married his college sweetheart, Shirley, on March 2, 1953.
Chuck enjoyed a long career with the Retail Credit Company (now Equifax), becoming a Vice President of Human Resources at the peak of his career. After his children were born he was transferred to Florida where he enjoyed sailing in Biscayne Bay and maintaining a beautiful yard. After 12 years he was transferred to Georgia where he has lived and retired. During his retirement he enjoyed traveling, cruising, working in his yard, and family trips to the beach. After moving to Evans, Chuck found pleasure in working ten years as a Volunteer at University Hospital. He was a member of Redeemer Presbyterian Church.
Chuck is survived by his wife of 59 years, Shirley G. Weiksner, his children, J. Mike Weiksner, Sr. (Susan), and Mary L. Hummel (Jim), six grandchildren, Jennifer, Michael, Matthew, David, Bryce and Becky and three great grandchildren, Chloe, Hailey and Jacob, who were a source of joy and happiness, his cousin, Bernie, and many nieces and nephews. His will be missed and remembered by all who knew him.
A Memorial Service will be held at Redeemer Presbyterian Church in Evans on November 17, 2012 at 11:00 AM followed by a reception. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Redeemer Presbyterian Church Building Fund, 2540 William Few Parkway, Evans, GA 30809.
