Memorial services will be held on Saturday, March 3, 2012 at 2pm at Elliott Sons Funeral Home, Columbia Road Chapel. Interment will be private. Born in St. Petersburg, Fl, he was the son of the Genevieve Lyons, and the late Philip M. Lyons. He lived in various cities before moving to Martinez in 1992.He retired from the Army after twenty years of service. He enjoyed watching TV, fishing, and camping.
George is survived by his wife, Gerlinde Denzer Lyons, son, Philip Lyons, Grovetown; daughter, Jennifer Lyons, Martinez; sister, Debbie Stokes, Virginia Beach, VA, brother, Ross Lyons, St. Petersburg, FL; grandchildren, Jacob Oates, Tobi Hernandez, Callie Lyons, Bella Lyons.
The family will receive friends from 1pm until the hour of service at the funeral home.
