

Helen Lydia Cooper was born to Palestinian immigrants Lydia and Azeez Boulus on July 15, 1930, as one of their six children. Born in Newark, New Jersey, she relocated to Georgia in the 1950's and married James Allen Cooper on Christmas Day in 1954.
Helen dedicated her life to family businesses as a general manager and bookkeeper for over 40 years.
Helen was a member of the Lutheran Church of the Resurrection, Eastern Star Martinez #464 Chapter, and a lifetime member of St. Joseph Pink Lady.
Helen departed this world to be with her Lord and Savior on October 5, 2025.
She was preceded in death by her husband James Allen Cooper, her son Steve Allen Cooper, her siblings: Norman and Paul Boulus, Pauline George and Elizabeth Jane Boulus and her parents.
Helen is survived by her son Marcus Azeez Cooper, her grandsons Jacob Allen Cooper and James Zachary Cooper and her great - grandchildren Clayton Allen Cooper, Caleb Bryson Cooper and Emma Kate Cooper.
A visitation for Helen will be held 10:00 AM until the service time on Friday, October 10, 2025 at 11:00 AM at Elliott Sons Funeral Home, 4255 Columbia Road, Martinez, GA 30907.
Helen will be laid to rest following the service at Hillcrest Memorial Park at 2700 Deans Bridge Road Augusta, GA 30906.
