

He attended M.-S. University in Baroda, Gujarat in India and graduated in Civil Engineering. In his early career he was a civil engineer. Later in life he pursued the American Dream and became an Entrepreneur. Many knew him as the “Subway King”.
He can be described and remembered for being kind-hearted, methodical, curious and comedic. He was a man with a sense of humor, but also a natural leader. He had a way of being direct (never beats around the bush, tells it like it is).
He was a member of Hindu Temple Society of Augusta Indo-American Association.
He enjoyed global travel, playing and watching cricket, tennis and volleyball. He was active in taking part in healthy debates. He loved eating and trying different foods. In particular beer and salty snacks.
He will be remembered for his generosity and desire to help others, and his jolly nature.
He is survived by his wife, Kusum Mistry; his daughters, Jyoti Mistry (Bruce Knight) and Mera Mistry (Paul Lefebvre); his grandchildren, Nina Mistry-Lefebvre & Arun Mistry-Lefebvre.
He is preceded in death by his mother Maniben Mistry & his father Dullabhbhai Mistry.
A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, March 23, 2025 at 11 am at Elliott Sons Funeral Home at 4255 Columbia Rd Martinez, GA 30907.
