Linda "Charlene" D. Blanchard

She was born on July 23, 1954 at Camp Gordon, Augusta, GA.

Charlene was married to William H. “Bill” Blanchard for 47 years (Dec. 6, 1975).

She graduated from Saluda High School and Piedmont Technical College with a degree in Nursing.

Charlene worked as a nurse at St. Joseph Hospital, University Hospital and Home Health Care.

She was a member of Trinity Baptist Church and sang in the choir. She loved going to the beach and the mountains. She loved to cook and entertain her family. Her hobbies were, reading, true story books and gardening in her yard. She always had pet dogs in the house, the most recent were Honey Bun, Ruby and Olive.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Stanley Espy and Margaret Ivie Dorn of Saluda, SC.

Charlene is survived by her husband, William H. “Bill” Blanchard of Grovetown; daughter Recy B. Reese (Keith) of Grovetown and their daughters, Ivie and Lillian; son, William H. Blanchard II (Melissa) and their children, Espy, William and Owen; brothers, Steve Dorn (Melody), Tommy Dorn (Debra), Stanley Dorn (Debra) and Kenny Dorn (DeAnna) all of Saluda, SC and many nieces and nephews

Visitation will be held from 12:00pm until 1:00pm, Friday, June 16, 2023 at Trinity Baptist Church, 4594 Columbia Road, Martinez.

A funeral will be held at 1:00pm, following the visitation at Trinity Baptist Church, officiated by the Reverend Matthew S. Moore. Pall Bearers will be; Tom Dorn, Ben Dorn, Keith Dorn, Kody Dorn, Travis Dorn, Espy Blanchard, William Blanchard and John Blanchard. Interment will follow at Bellevue Memorial Gardens, Wrightsboro Road. Friends invited.
