Lois F Powell

When her family was young, Mrs. Powell enjoyed gathering with her siblings and their children for Sunday dinners at her parent’s home. She loved taking weekend trips with her sister and nephew in North Georgia. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were the Joy of her life. She was a lifelong member of Hopeful Baptist Church and faithful contributor to Hopeful Baptist Church Cemetery Fund.

Mrs. Powell is preceded in death by her husband, Curtis Powell; and brothers, Charles B. Fulcher and Ralph S. Fulcher. Survivors include her sister, Doris “Jean” Newman; children, Harold “Jim” Brown Jr. (Doris G.) and Kathryn “Kathy” B. Culbreath (Robert); 4 grandchildren; and 4 great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 1-2PM, Saturday, August, 6, 2016 at Elliott Sons Funeral Home on Columbia Road. Funeral services will be held at 2PM, Saturday, August 6, 2016 at the Columbia Road Chapel of Elliott Sons Funeral Home with Chaplain Tom Kalliokoski officiating. Pall bearers who will honor Mrs. Powell are her grandchildren, Jeff Brown, Brett Prichard, Brandon Williams, Ryan William; nephew Michael Newman; and Greg Williams.
