Mary is the matriarch and cornerstone of our family. She leaned on God in her travels through life. She was of Catholic faith and always felt comforted in her beliefs in God. She practiced her faith regularly by showing others how to treat people through love and compassion. Her love for children brought Sabrina and Gloria into the world. She shared her love of family through her close relationship with her daughter, Gloria and her grandchildren Brittany, Zachary and Andrew. She not only had two daughters but always felt like she had a son in her daughter’s husband, Gary. Mary was a very strong caring southern lady who loved everyone.
Mary was an incredible person who believed in her family, her friends and her fellow mankind. Mary loved her grandchildren and when she talked about each one, her face would light up with a smile. She always had a small giggle which became infectious to those around her.
Mary was an avid murder mystery reader and was captivated by suspense. She enjoyed Cajun zydeco dancing, line dancing and her Sunday dinners will be missed. Mary enjoyed her time being part of the Elks organization in Rome Georgia. She also loved politics and stayed involved and informed. She was a companionate woman always thinking of others before herself.
She was a loving mother and grandmother and will be missed deeply.
A private Catholic funeral will be held for Mary on June 13, 2026 at St. Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church in Aiken, SC.
