Ranzy S Gowdy Jr.

Ranzy S Gowdy Jr was a lifelong resident of the CSRA, where he graduated from Evans High School. He furthered his education at Augusta Tech, earning his mechanical engineering degree. Ranzy's career flourished at CSX, Martin Marietta, and Resolute, before continuing his career at Alltex, where he inspired others with his remarkable work ethic and selfless nature. Ranzy formed many lasting bonds, and his dedication to helping others left a huge impact on his coworkers, friends, and family.

In 2017, Ranzy was saved and baptized at Stevens Creek Church, becoming a part of their church community.

Ranzy found serenity on the water, fishing from his boat, and his compassionate heart for animals and love for his pets, whom he cherished as family, spoke volumes about his exceptional character. His passion for restoring cars, motorcycles, ATVs, and all things mechanical was a testament to his innovative spirit and creativity.

Ranzy found peace riding his Harley Davison Street Glide where he will continue his ride for eternity.

He leaves to cherish his memory a devoted family: Hannah Perez, daughter, Ranzy S Gowdy Sr. (Phoenica) father, Margarita Gowdy, mother, Teaco Gowdy (Kimberly) brother, Ranita Ivey, sister, Rene Gowdy, sister, Desmond Gowdy (Savanna) brother, a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, biker family, Alltex family and loving friends.

A funeral service for Ranzy will be held Sunday, January 26, 2025 at 3:00 PM at Elliott Sons Funeral Home, 4255 Columbia Rd, Martinez, Georgia 30907.
