Graveside services will be held on Friday, October 5, 2012 at 3pm at Westover Memorial Park with Rev. Robert Gillespie officiating.
A lifelong resident of Augusta, he was the son of Robert “Bob” R. Warr, Sr. and Ruth Goodwin Warr. He graduated from Richmond Academy in 1969. He attended Georgia Southern and the former Augusta College. He left college to tour as a professional golfer on the European and Australian circuit. He was a member of St. Mark United Methodist Church and the Green Meadows Golf Club. He had a passion for golf and watching the GA Bulldogs play football.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his son, Robert R. Warr, III, Atlanta, GA; sister Deborah Warr-Beauston, Plano, TX; nieces Kristen Fournier and her husband Nicholas, Kelly Beauston, numerous cousins and friends.
The family will receive friends on Thursday from 7-8 at Elliott Sons Funeral Home, 4255 Columbia Rd, Martinez. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to First Tee of Augusta, 3165 Damascus Rd, Augusta, GA, 30909.
