

Samuel H. Morbit, born in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania on December 10, 1939, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, December 31, 2016. Samuel was a loving family man who enjoyed traveling the world, where he met his wife of 57 years, Ursula Weschler in Karlsruhe, Germany. At the tender age of 19, he vowed that his life would be dedicated to serving God and his family. Samuel served his country in the United States Army for 20 years. He earned two bronze stars in Vietnam and one in Korea, as well as the Vietnamese Cross of Galantry during his tenure.
Left to cherish his memories are his loving wife, Ursula; children, Johnny (Denise) Morbit, Judy Morbit, Sandra Morbit, Joseph K. (Linda) Morbit, Patricia Warren and Jeffrey Morbit; grandchildren, Christopher (Emily) Blanco, Sean (Stefanie) Pittman, Kyle Pittman, Aaron and Austin Rachels, Benjamin Morbit, Mary (Adam) Young, John and Madeline Harper; sisters, Rose, Shirley, Nancy and Rita; brothers, Tommy and Terry Morbit; great-grandchildren, Aubree Pittman and Henry Young and many other relatives and friends.
The family will be receiving friends 6 PM- 8PM Wednesday, January 4, 2017 at the Columbia Road Chapel of Elliott Sons Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be 1 PM Thursday, January 5, 2017 at St. Teresa of Avila at 4921 Columbia Rd. Grovetown, Georgia 30813. Interment will be at Bellevue Memorial Gardens.
