

Born in India, she was the daughter of the late Ram Nath Khosla and Gian Devi Marwah Khosla. She moved to the US with her family in 1966 where she devoted 30 years to improving the lives of special needs students in Michigan’s Farmington Public Schools. She earned her Doctorate degree in Education in 1980 from Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan. In 2000, she and her husband, Dharam Kapil, retired to Martinez, GA to be closer to their children. Santosh was a respected member of the Hindu Temple Society of Augusta where she loved to sing bhajans (hymns). She was an active member of the “Knit to Love” Club which provides clothing for people in need. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, traveling and spending time with her family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four siblings; Shivinder, Prem, Ratna and Shanta. She is survived by her husband, Dharam P. Kapil; son, Dr. Vikas (Nisha) Kapil of Atlanta Georgia; daughter, Dr. Nidhi (Adarsh) Gulati of Martinez, Georgia; grandchildren, Shikha Kapil, Vinesh Kapil, Shalin Kapil, Priya Gulati, and Akash Gulati; and five siblings, Sudarshan, Kuldip, Narender, Shama and Mukesh.
Many thanks to her nurses, doctors, hospice team members, and in-home caregivers who watched over their “Momma” like angels.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, June 15, 2014 at 9 am in the Columbia Road Chapel of Elliott Sons Funeral Home, 4255 Columbia Road, Martinez, Georgia 30907.
