William L. Hunt

GROVETOWN, Ga. - Mr. William Bill Leroy Hunt, 78, of Grovetown, Georgia passed away Friday, March 23, 2012. Known to his friends as Bill, Mr. Hunt served his country in the US Army for 27 years and achieved the rank of Master Sergeant. He fought in both the Korean and Viet Nam Wars. After retiring from the Army, he continued to serve in the Federal Civil Service for another ten years. Mr. Hunt was an avid Bowler, going to Brunswick Lanes daily. Bill is survived by his beloved wife, Betty Ruth Hunt; one son, Steve (Jane) Hunt; one daughter, Kellie Hunt; two grandchildren, Shauna Taylor and Devin Hunt; nine great-grandchildren, Tyler Best, Steven Best, Hailey Best, Connor Best, Eric Taylor, Ansel Hunt, Felicity Hunt, Carsten Hunt and Miles Hunt. A memorial service will be held at 5 PM, Friday, March 30, 2012 at Columbia Road Chapel of Elliott Sons Funeral Home. The family will receive friends following the service until 7 PM.
