

Alfred Leroy Lamb, 80, of Martinsburg, went to be with the Lord on May 27, 2014 at his home surrounded by his loving family.
Born November 27, 1933 in Martinsburg, WV, he was the son of the late Alfred Lamb and Nettie Good Lamb Miller.
Leroy graduated from Martinsburg High School in 1952. He also graduated from the Northwestern School of Taxidermy in 1973 and was a licensed Master Taxidermist for many years until ill health forced him to retire. He owned and operated the Mountaineer Taxidermist Shop from 1973 to 1982.
Leroy worked at Fairchild Aircraft, Fry Stone Quarry and Mack Trucks where he retired after 22 ½ years due to ill health. He was a member of the UAW-Local 171. He was one of the original members and founders of the Tomahawk Archery Club. He loved spending time outdoors, traveling, and was an avid hunter and fisherman. Leroy enjoyed woodworking and making crafts for family and friends. One of his favorite past times was telling stories about his hunting and fishing trips and his trips to the Holy Land.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Ann (Barrett) Lamb; two daughters: Becky Avey and partner Jason and Susan Hines and husband Brian; three grandchildren: Tracey Avey and partner Brian, Bryan Avey and wife Margaret, and Jodi Avey; three great-grandchildren: Kim Derflinger and partner Anthony, Samantha Perara-Avey, and Seaira Brant; three great-great-grandchildren: Sarenity Cook, Sariah Cook, and Kayden Bowers; sister-in-law, Barbara Mesa and husband Vince; nephew, Vincent Mesa; and special aunt Opal Bowman, King George, VA, and many cousins in Virginia and Pennsylvania.
He attended Independent Bible Church. Donations may be made to the Independent Bible Church, 2306 Hedgesville Road, Martinsburg, WV 25403, and Hospice of the Panhandle, 330 Hospice Lane, Kearneysville, WV 25430, or Berkeley Senior Services, 217 N. High Street, Martinsburg, WV 25404.
Friends will be received on Friday from 6-8pm and on Saturday from 10am until the funeral service at 11am at Rosedale Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Rosedale Cemetery.
