Asa James Wickham

Asa James Wickham, beloved, husband, father, and grandfather passed away on December 22, 2023, at the age of 89. Asa was born August 13, 1934 in Luzerne County, PA. He held a variety of jobs during his life. He joined the Army at a young age and was trained as a paratrooper. In younger years he enjoyed working on the family farm along with other occupations. His primary career was as a truck driver and he drove many years for Americast in Halltown, WV, prior to retirement.

He enjoyed spending time with family, doing yard work, planting a garden, making repairs around the house and on cars. He was a member of the Moose, American Legion and VFW.

Asa is survived by daughter, Terry Jacques, and grandson, Christopher Jacques. He was preceded in death by his wife - Iris Elaine Wickham, daughter – Tammy Wickham, son – Asa Wickham Jr., parents – James and Susan Wickham, three sisters – Helen Poplasky, Norma Small and Caroline Sandborn, and brother – Olen Wickham.

Memorial services will be held at Rosedale Funeral Home, Martinsburg, WV, on January 12, 2024 at 12pm (noon) with celebration of life immediately following. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 1-800-227-2345 or P.O. Box 6704, Hagerstown, MD 21741.
