Barbara Ann Pruitt, 81, of Hedgesville, WV, formerly of Chillicothe, OH, passed away on Friday, December 14, 2012 at her son’s home in Hedgesville. Born August 19, 1931 in Portsmouth, OH, she was the daughter of the late Burnen and Margaret (Fuhr) Manning. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star in Chillicothe, OH. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Lee Pruitt; one sister, Carol Craft, and two brothers, Raymond and James Manning. She is survived by one daughter, Cynthia L. (Pruitt) Hess of TX; two sons, Richard Pruitt of Hedgesville, and Michael Pruitt of NC; seven grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren. A Memorial Service will be held at the convenience of the family at Hedgesville United Methodist Church, 201 S. Mary St., Hedgesville, with Rev. Dr. George G. Earle, Jr. officiating.
