Bradley Stephen Peterson

Born September 11, 1957, in Cortland, NY, he was the son of Dorothea H. Peterson and the late Roger A. Peterson, Sr.

Brad attended Cortland High School in Cortland, NY. He competed in the soap box derby for many years in his youth and built homes with Barden Homes of Cortland. Later, he worked as a taxi cab driver in several towns.

After growing up in Cortland, NY he lived in Oregon, California, Pennsylvania and most recently West Virginia.

Brad was an avid outdoorsman who loved nature, hunting, fur trapping, trout fishing, and each new sunrise. He hitchhiked across the US twice and loved Oregon especially the coast. He loved dogs and cats, old cars, good music, and playing the drums. He was hard to beat at horseshoes and cribbage.

He attended Back Creek Valley Church in recent years and was baptized at New Life Community Church of Inwood in 2013.

Brad will be sadly missed by his mother, Dorothea H. Peterson, of Hedgesville; two brothers: Roger A. Peterson, Jr. and wife, Abbie, of Ridgway, PA, and Richard G. Peterson and wife, Sonya, of Buffalo, NY; two sisters: Shelley C. Peterson, of York, PA, and Kathryn A. Moore and husband, David, of Hedgesville; and many nieces and nephews to whom he was very caring and special.

He was preceded in death by his father, Roger Alan Peterson, Sr, and his grandparents: Roland and Alta Harding and Ralph and Mabel Peterson.

Friends will be received at Rosedale Funeral Home on Sunday February 22nd from 2:00pm until the time of the funeral service at 3:00pm. Interment will follow in Rosedale Cemetery.
