Born April 2, 1930 in Derwood, MD, he was the son of the late Edward Lee and Hazel Belle (Reese) Runion.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Eugene, Edward, and Kenneth; and four sisters, Charlotte, Anna, Ethel, and Lucille.
He is survived by his loving wife, Barbara Irene (Arnold) Runion; a son, Charles E. Runion, and his wife Linda, of Martinsburg; two daughters, Patricia Lee Darrow, and her husband Steve, and Mary A. Cupples, and her husband Robert, both of Martinsburg; one brother, James Runion of Mt. Airy, MD; one sister, Joan Cain of Spencerville, MD.
He is also survived by eight grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.
Friends will be received 7-9 PM Monday in Rosedale Funeral Home, Martinsburg.
Funeral Service will be held 1 PM Tuesday, October 7, 2014 at Rosedale Funeral Home with Rev. Robert Robinson officiating. Burial to follow in Rosedale Cemetery.
