Joseph M Meyer

Born March 12, 1949 in Martinsburg, WV he was the son of the late Dr. Leo J. Meyer and Laura J. Meyer.

Joe is survived by his loving daughter, Dawn Howard, her husband Steve and devoted son, Joseph M. Meyer, Jr.

Joe will be sadly missed by his sister, Kathy Persyk and her husband Dennis, of Illinois; and one granddaughter, Emily.

In addition to his parents, Joe is preceded in death by one grandson, Kelton Howard.

Joe was a graduate of WVU, served our country as a member of the US Army and retired from the United State Postal Service as a rural mail carrier. Joe was an avid bowler, bird watcher, and had a great love of life. He was a member of New Life Community Church in Inwood, WV where he spent his free time as a volunteer.

A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held at New Life Community Church, Inwood, WV on Monday, June 27, 2011 at 2:00 pm.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to WVU Foundation, One Waterfront Place - 7th Floor, P.O. Box 1650 Morgantown, WV 26507-1650.
