Born December 3, 1972 he was the son of Peggy Smith and the late John Smith.
Kevin was a loving and caring man who was dedicated to his family, always placing family first before anything else. He was a man who always had a smile to give, and could always make you laugh. Kevin loved being outdoors, camping and fishing being two of his favorites. He also loved working on vehicles and building model cars.
He was a faithful employee to Berkeley County Schools since 2000, with previous employment at Casco Ice for several years.
He is survived by his wife of 7 years, Julie Smith; two sons: Adam Smith and Alexander Smith; daughters: Karen Smith and Jordyn Smith; mother, Peggy Smith; Sisters: Tina Rankin, Kim and husband Jeff Barron, Melody and husband Donald Sharff, Melinda and husband Ben Roach, along with several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.
In addition to his father he was preceded in death by his son Kevin Smith II, and grandparents Staton and Sally Smith, and Everts and Mary Miller, and one brother in-law Wes Rankin.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
