They were recently honored to be elected to the Voluntary Association (GRaCE Board) of GRaCE. Mike was proud to be clean and sober 21 years as he stayed involved with the AA and recovery community. Not only was AA a big part of Mike’s life, he was also a mentor for many others that, in turn, helped him and them maintain his sobriety.
Mike graduated from Governor Thomas Johnson High School, Frederick, Maryland in 1980.
Over the years, Mike was a restaurant manager, Radio DJ host, “Mike O’Brien” and a mortgage broker, before starting his own business, Fresh Zone Cleaning Services, LLC.
Mike was a phenomenal leader whose love, faith, determination and passion for helping people truly spread hope to all. Mike was a die-hard Ravens fan, lifelong avid reader, a student of history, loved FOOD. One of Mike’s favorite things to do was hang out with family, playing cards, eating or just being around them. He loved hanging out with his brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Deb and Lynn Harbaugh. Mike was jovial, charismatic, gracious and a great listener.
Mike loved hard. He loved Jesus, he loved Leah and his family and friends with his whole heart. Mike was also loved by many.
