Ruth Ann Burkhart

She was born December 17, 1944 in Berkeley County, WV. She was the daughter of the late Amos C. and Retha D. Wilson VanHorn. Ruth was a very devoted wife, mother and grandmother who cared very deeply for all her family.

She was preceded in death by one son Eric K. Burkhart and one brother A. Curtis VanHorn.

In addition to her husband of 51 years, Ruth is survived by three sons Craig and wife Norma, Jeffery and Donna Fraley, and Michael and wife Marie all of Jones Springs, one daughter Laura Coleman and husband Scott of Kearneysville; ten grandchildren and five great grandchildren; three sisters Carole L. Bartgis, Oneida VanHorn, Lois L. Dick and one brother Amos C. Van Horn, Jr; daughter-in-law, Tracey Burkhart, and numerous nieces and nephews.

A special thanks to son Michael and wife Marie for their care that was provided during her brief illness and last days.

Friends and family are welcome to attend graveside services on Monday, July 22, 2013 at 10:00AM in Rosedale Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the Panhandle, 122 Waverly Court, Martinsburg, WV 25403. Arrangements entrusted to Rosedale Funeral Home, Martinsburg.
