Sandra Kaye Powell

Born on July 9, 1945 in Martinsburg, she was the daughter of the late Paul and Evelyn Brannon.

Sandy was a lifetime member of Mountain View Church of the Brethren. She was a former 4H Club Leader in Berkeley County and was the last store manager for Argenbright’s in Martinsburg. In August 1974 she went to work for Joe the Motorist Friend’s Inc. where she met her husband, David Powell. The two became married on June 8, 1975 and recently celebrated 50 years of marriage.

She is survived by her husband, David Powell; children: Brian Keith Brannon (Michelle) and Christine Canby (Jason); grandchildren: Evelyn Canby, Brandy Price, Crystal Price, Josie Price, Victoria Price, Brittany Grove, and Amanda Grove; six great-grandchildren; and her sister, Nancy Eckerd.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Larry Wayne Brannon.

Family and friends will be received at Rosedale Funeral Home on Wednesday, December 3, 2025 from 10am until the time of the funeral service at 12pm. Interment will follow in Rosedale Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Mountain View Church of the Brethren, the American Diabetes Association, or Berkeley County 4H.
