Following an extended period of stroke recovery, Wanda Jean Fellers Light passed in her sleep on Tuesday, March 15th, 2022. She was the widow of Bailey William Light who preceded her in death in May 2011.
Wanda is survived by five children: Dawne Raines Burke, Becky Raines Sutherland, Brian Kenneth Raines, Darlene DeHaven and Rachel Renee Fellers. She had ten grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
For many consecutive years, Wanda was the general office manager and accountant for Light's Upholstery and LeScrub Janitorial Services in Martinsburg, both family owned and operated businesses.
She was one of the original founding members for Independent Bible Church (Hedgesville, WV) serving her church in varying capacities over nearly a 60-year period.
Believing in educational pursuits, she was an avid reader and lifelong learner even returning much later in life to complete her General Education Degree for which she was bestowed the Magna Cum Laude highest academic honor for her class by Senator John D. Rockefeller, IV.
A graveside service is planned for Saturday, March 19th at 11AM with Reverend Daniel L. Dugan presiding in Rosedale Cemetery .
