At age 16 she met the love of her life Paul Calafiore. They married at age 19 shortly after graduation in Auburn and spent 44 wonderful years together.
A favorite vacation spot of theirs was on the coast whether it be Oregon, Washington or California. They also enjoyed spending time in Grants Pass, Oregon and visiting her brother Stewart in West Virginia. But without a doubt Desi’s most awesome place to be was watching her 3 grandsons playing their sports games. They were her world. Desi worked for Debbie Posey at Arby’s for several years and was currently employed at the Tulalip Tribes Healing Lodge. She worked at the Lodge for seven years and made many friends. A special friend from California, Dana Seng-Hall was always introduced as “my very best friend” they were close friends since grade school and always remained that way.
Desi is survived by her Husband Paul II of Tulalip, sons Paul III (Rachael) of Belfair, and Justin of Tulalip, brother Stewart (Janet) Goodman of West Virginia, her 3 grandsons Paulie IV, Frank and Gino all of Belfair, cousins Dusty, Misty, Audie, Adam and Stormmy whom she had a special place in her heart, several nieces and nephews also Desi’s Aunt Donna who loved her unconditionally.
She was preceded in death by her mother and father Vic and David Goodman, her in-laws Paul Sr. and Dorothy Calafiore, grandparents Victor and Dorothy Herbst, aunt Jackie Graham, Uncle Orland Paul, cousins Carter Paul and Starla Hauser.
There will be a Celebration of life on July 26th 2025 held at the Hibulb Cultural Center 3:00 p.m.
