Elizabeth Margaret Herring

Elizabeth Margaret Herring, passed away peacefully on June 12, 2015, with her loving children by her side. Elizabeth was preceded in death by her husband, Albert of 56 years; and son, Roger. Mom was born in Kimball, South Dakota, December 27, 1914. She and Dad moved out west in the 1930's and settled in Marysville where they raised six children...Roger, Jean, Paul (wife, Pat), Ed, Duane (wife, Brenda), and Martha. She leaves numerous grand, great grand, and great great grandchildren. Elizabeth was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church for over 60 years, was Marysville's voter registrar, a member of the Women of the Moose, and a talented seamstress. She loved creative writing, crossword puzzles, and contests. Mom was an ovarian cancer survivor of 25 years, as well as a volunteer driver for cancer patients. We had the privilege of celebrating her 100th birthday with her last December. Mother touched so many lives. We will miss the Apron/Quilt Lady, Grandma Bingo, Cookie Grandma, and her wonderful sense of humor, her smile, her love. A Mass and burial will be held on Saturday, June 27, 2015 at 10 a.m., at St. Mary's Catholic Church on 88th Street in Marysville, with a celebration of her life to follow. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in Elizabeth's name to Warm Beach Health Center, Stanwood, Wash. or Evergreen Hospice.
