Chad was taken from us suddenly and left behind a multitude of family. He left behind his other half of 17 years, Kristina Balam. His sisters: Rain de’Scheuquette and her children (Kinina-wi de’Scheuquette, Lazalea Craig, Dezerae Craig, Dakkon Biggart, and Aisha Biggart); Rochelle Zephier and her children (Hehaka Zephier, Wiconi-Odowan Zephier, Cankuinyanwi Zephier- Contraro, Itehopawi Zephier-Contraro, and Iyoyanpa Hoksina Zephier- Contraro); Yuhakdinajin Zephier; and Junal Gerlach and her children. He also left behind his father, Adelbert “Buzzy” Zephier Jr., and a plethora of Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, Nieces, and Nephews in South Dakota. He was preceded in death by his mother Sandra-Lynn Grey-Owl and his stepfather Kenneth de’ Scheuquette.

Chad will be greatly missed by everyone who knew him. He was an artist, a friend, a wonderful Uncle and an all-around amazing person who left us too early.

There will be a small gathering in remembrance of Chad at Schaefer-Shipman Funeral Home on Monday November 18th , 2013 from 2pm until 4pm.
