She was born Nov. 20, 1931 in Minnesota to Ferdinand and Esther Nystuen.
Ona is survived by her daughter, Valerie Stuhring; sibilings, Carman Nystuen and Ardys Santoes; five grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and sons, Alan and Gary Helm.
A visitation will be held Monday, December 14, 2015 from 9:00 – 11:15 AM at Schaefer-Shipman Funeral Home with a graveside service to follow at 12:00 Noon at the Marysville Cemetery.
