It has been nearly 3 years since boB left this place behind for a better one…and nearly as long since I have been able to bear visiting his memorial page, or read the words of those that have visited and left their thoughts…if this is your first visit, or you have visited before, thank you.  Whether you left your thoughts or not…I hope you found comfort from the memories and words of the others that have been here.   They have comforted me today.  
Leah, I can assure you that he never for a minute forgot you, and that he always loved you and considered you his daughter.  Sadly sometimes the choices adults make, leave children behind and hurting…his one regret was not staying connected to you…I hope you read this one day

I have so many memories of him when I was little it's hard to pick one. I will always remember watching drag racing with you, or the time you spent all day teaching me how to tell time. I still have the lion blanket you sent mom when you were in the navy. You may have forgotten about me, but I never forgot you. Rest in paradise

I was so lucky and met Bob when I went to the alternative high school.  He was always part of my life and was so lucky we were able to reconnect later in life.  What a beautiful obituary for a beautiful soul.  His passing leaves a hole in many hearts,  including mine and my husband's.  Words can't truly describe the loss and I will cherish the time I was able to have him in my life. 

I only met Bob once when he came in my cafeteria to meet ME as Shaney talked about me. I could see right away why Shaney loved him.  It's so hard to lose your Soul Mate so early-but the wonderful memories will last FOREVER. My love to Shaney.

I can't remember if it was me or boB that started the back and forth  but, we had a lot of good times workin on his old van and his Trans Am . I remember when he got out of the navy we went to a bar and he got on the table and yelled "I HATE SQUIDS "  and me being the only long hair in the place ! I thought I was gonna die that day .He will be truly missed . 

I was 15 years old when Bob moved in next door. We hit it off instantly. We were wild and young and did many stupid things together, the privilege of youth. Like the time we were doing donuts in the parking lot of a local park. Bob lost control of his yellow Javelin and rammed it into the corner of a brick building. LoL.... it still ran, so we ran too! Unfortunately, the mayor was at the park and called the cops. They caught up to us, arrested Bob and took me and our buddy, Paul, to a youth detention center to await pickup. Many years later we would ride our Harley's up to squaw peak in Provo Utah and watch the sun go down, then ride back to my house in the dark. It was great to ride with my brother! Rest in peace Bro. I will see you on the other side!🙂

Though I didn't know Bob Riley as well as most of you..I had the privilege and honor of seeing him when I flew to WA to visit my sister, Dotty. They were the best of friends and called each other brother and sister. My dad also had the chance to get to know Bob and we called ourselves his Virginia Family.  He meant so much to all of us. He was Family!! I remember the first time I met him and ran up to him and hugged his neck so hard I thought I hurt him. He laughed and said, "you must be Patty." I told him I loved him before I ever laid my eyes on him. So many wonderful stories have been told, so many wonderful memories made, so many times I wish I could hug his neck just once more!! I love you Bob Riley. You had such a beautiful spirit that will be with me forever. Til we meet again my dear friend. Love and hugs from your VA Family. 

I can’t remember how I met Bob it just seems like I always knew him. He was the funniest guy always made you laugh at least once before he would go.  I can never remember him ever in a bad mood. He was just someone you always wanted to be around especially if there was fun to be had! Shanney definitely had her hands full! Love you Bob 

I knew boB from work, he was one crazy guy. He was always helpful and cool to hang around and talk motorcycles with. I remember him once riding down the sidewalk at work to avoid the traffic getting into the parking lot. He definitely made his own path and lots of friends along the way. He will surely be missed.

boB was one of the finest employees I had the pleasure to work with at Boeing. He was deeply respected by all who knew him. He will be missed by many. My condolences, thoughts and prayers go to his family.

I met Bob through Shaney when we both worked for Noritsu. I had the privilege of photographing their wedding and seeing first hand their love and devotion.  I will miss him very much he was a fantastic friend and person of great integrity.  Ride on to Harley Heaven. 

I met bob at itt tech. The first class was computer logic he leans over to me and asks “how you turn this thing on?” From that day we hit it off.  I would pick him up for class everyday .
