Sandra Lee Hegre

Sandra Lee Hegre, 63 of Marysville passed away February 24, 2013.

She was born May 26, 1949 in Long Beach, California and had lived in Marysville for the past 17 years. She served in the US Navy. Sandra also worked at the Navy Exchange for 27 years. She was an avid Oakland Raider’s fan. She had a passion for reading and passed that on to her children and grandchildren. She met her best friend and Husband John, in March 1986. She loved to spend time with her family fishing at Sekiu.

She is survived by her husband, John Hegre; children, Michele Clark, and Michael Clark; step-children, Shawn Hegre and Holly Caldwell; her parents Robert (Elaine) Thurman, and Muriel Thurman; her sister and brother-in-law, Cathy and Michael Borries; Nephews Scott, Charles, and Gerald, granddaughter Amber (Kyle) Harpstead; 4 step-grandchildren; Christopher, Dylan, Katie and Emily, two great-grandchildren; Logan and Jasper. She was preceded in death by her brother, Dennis Thurman.

Services will be held Friday, March 1, 2013 at 4:00 PM at the Abundant Life Christian Fellowship, 3003 York Rd., Everett, WA 98204. Burial and military honors held at Tahoma National Cemetery in Kent, Washington.

Memorials may be made to The American Diabetes Association in lieu of flowers.
