Timothy Merlin Shiers

Timothy Shiers, age 72, passed away peacefully on July 5, 2025. He was a man of quiet strength, deep humility, and unwavering kindness. Known for his hard work and generous spirit, Timothy lived a life defined not by recognition, but by service, love, and integrity.

Born on January 21, 1953, Timothy was the son of Alva Gage and Myrtle Shiers. He believed in earning your way..not just through labor, but in how you treat people. He gave of himself freely, always showing up for others with compassion and selflessness. Service wasn’t something he did; it was who he was. He helped without expectation and led with kindness.

Of all the roles Timothy embraced, being a grandfather brought him the greatest joy. He was tender, attentive, and fully present with his eight grandchildren, always making each feel deeply loved and valued. His legacy lives on in their laughter, compassion, and confidence in being loved.

Timothy is survived by his beloved wife, Joy Katherine Shiers; his children, Ranae Engel, Lindsey Rounce, and Michael Shiers; his eight grandchildren; and his siblings, Butch and Mary Ann.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Alva Gage and Myrtle; his brothers Dick, Gary,Arnie, Donnie, Clifford, Shorty, and Keith; and his sister, Becky.

Timothy was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. His absence leaves a profound space in the lives of those who loved him, but his memory lives on in the way we serve, love, and treat one another with dignity...just as he did every day
