Tyson Dale Mehus died unexpectedly on April 4, 2021. He was born on June 28, 2001 to Nicole Hammerquist and Doug Mehus in Kalispell Montana. He had his first birthday in Everett, WA and lived the rest of his life in western Washington. His boyhood was spent with his brother Tanner, playing sports, enjoying family pets, and taking family vacations. He also loved video games, movies, anime and board games. Tyson fell in love with baseball, and excelled as a catcher for his Select Team, the Bandits. He graduated from Glacier Peaks High School in 2019. After graduation, he worked at the Woodfire Grill in Everett where he was known as a hard worker with a wicked sense of humor. He aspired to become an electrician and was making plans to enroll in a training program.
Tyson will be remembered as a young man who was loyal to his family and his friends. He had a big heart for animals. He set others at ease with his mischievous smile and laid back teasing humor. He treasured his strong bond with his brother Tanner and was overjoyed to welcome his baby sister Taytum into the family.
Tyson was loved by a lot of people in his life.
He leaves behind his mother Nicole Hammerquist and her family; including grandfather Kirk (with Cheri), grandmother Sharon (with Roger), aunts Julie (with Arne), Leah (with Sascha) and Becca (with Matt), and uncle Will (with Katerina). He has four surviving great-grandparents.
He is also survived by his father Doug Mehus and his family; including grandmother Pam and grandfather Wayne, and by his step-father Jeff Beard, and his family; including grandparents Beth and Gary.
He leaves his love and legacy behind in his brother Tanner and his sister Taytum, and her father Jakob Kuljis.
He also leaves behind numerous cousins and other relatives.
Finally, he is survived by his beloved dog Dutch and many friends.
We will miss Tyson, but we will cherish his memory deeply in our hearts, forever
