William (Bill) Edward Hooper passed away on October 21 2022, he was 69 years old. Born on April 27, 1953, Bill was the only child of William Edward and Dorothy Mae Hooper. Having the privilege of being raised in the small town of Millbank South Dakota, Bill enjoyed an active childhood participating in many school events and local community activities. His happy go lucky attitude found him many friends in both childhood and throughout his adult life. Shortly after graduating with a Bachelor of Arts degree from South Dakota state university Bill moved to Washington State where his Uncle and Aunt (George and Carol Garlick) lived and where his mother also soon joined him.
Although never married Bill enjoyed family gatherings and especially summer barbeques where he raved about Uncle Georges barbequed ribs. Naturally gifted with numbers Bill spent most of his career in accounting, bookkeeping and occasionally doing substitute teaching in high school business classes. But his greatest passion was playing cards. If there was a card game going on Bill was sure to join in. He belonged to many bridge clubs and passed many an enjoyable evening around a small card table with close friends.
Bill was a dedicated Christian and for many years was the treasurer and co-leader of a small group of believers in Everett Washington. He formed many close friendships through the years and will always be fondly remembered by his extended family who consist of uncle George Garlick and cousins Sharon Todd, Scott, Mark, David and Holly.
