

Donald was born on April 29, 1937, in Brooklyn, New York, to Joseph Skuza and Martha Wyczlinski. He lived a life defined by dedication to his family, service to his country, and loyalty to his community and friends.
Donald proudly served in the United States Navy from 1955 to 1958. Following his military service, he remained deeply committed to his fellow veterans and community through his involvement with the American Legion. He served as Commander of American Legion Post 1066 in Massapequa, New York, where he formed lasting friendships and touched the lives of many.
Donald was predeceased by his beloved wife, Patricia Skuza, with whom he shared 39 wonderful years of marriage. He is survived by his loving wife, Donna Skuza; his children, Monica Rendina and Philip Skuza; and his cherished grandchildren, Nicolo J. Rendina, Alexandra Rendina, Georgia Skuza-Zmijewski, Natalie Skuza, and Victoria Skuza. He was also the proud great-grandfather of Dakota Shea and Charlotte Sage Rendina.
Donald will be remembered for his strength, humor, devotion to family, and love of the water and fishing. His presence brought comfort and joy to those around him, and his memory will forever remain in the hearts of all who knew and loved him. Fish On, Dad!
Visitation will be held at James Funeral Home, 540 Broadway, Massapequa, NY 11758, US, on May 23, 2026, from 8:00 am to 9:00 am.
A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at St. William the Abbot RC Church, 2000 Jackson Ave, Seaford, NY 11783, US, on May 23, 2026, from 9:30 am to 10:30 am.
Burial will follow at St. Charles / Resurrection Cemeteries, 2015 Wellwood Ave, Farmingdale, NY 11735, US, on May 23, 2026, from 11:00 am to 11:30 am.
