

Dorothy Ferrese Molinari, age 94, died on April 1, 2022 at the home of her loving daughter. She was born on July 2, 1927 in Scranton, Pennsylvania to Peter and Angelina Ferrese. She is predeceased by her husband, Angelo J. Molinari, her beloved son Robert Molinari, her cherished sister, Gloria Crisafulli and brother Joseph Ferrese. She is survived by her loving children, Paul Molinari (Lisa Vigliotti), Anne Molinari (Larry Cohen), Albert Molinari (Lisa Maffei) and Andrew Molinari, her Daughter-in-law, Susan Molinari, her dear grandchildren, Robert (Justine), Matthew (Melissa), Michelle (Andrew), Paulie, Angelo, Marlaina, Albert, Frank, Angelina and Matthew, her great -grandchildren, Daniella, Robert and Luca, her treasured nieces, Angela Crisafulli Veek (Ken) and Mary Crisafulli, her much loved grand nieces and nephews, Arlen, Jackson, Jaime, Sophia and Dario and many wonderful friends.
Dorothy went to the college of Saint Mary to become a registered nurse. She then joined the Navy rising to the rank of lieutenant and served during the Korean Conflict. Dorothy had a long career as a nurse for the Plainedge Public School System. Dorothy was passionate about nursing. Any day, any time, she would help a neighbor or friend and administer her nursing skills and her brand of tough love to set them on the road to healing. No matter where Dorothy worked, she made many friends and was known for her strong personality and generous spirit.
Everything Dorothy did, she did with a fierce tenacity and that included mothering her five children. She was a devoted and loving mother always. She remained passionate about all five children throughout her life. Dorothy was a very generous person giving to others and setting an example of a truly kind, loving person in the world.
Family and friends are invited to a funeral mass on Monday, April 25, at 10:30 at Saint James Church, 80 Hicksville Road, Seaford, N.Y. 11783, Burial immediately following at St. Charles Cemetery, 2015 Wellwood Ave, Farmingdale, New York.
Dorothy’s family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to the beautiful, loving women (Hilda, Dyanna, Lilianna, Rose, Faith and Natasha) who cared for her at the end of her life. We are forever grateful that Dorothy felt their love and kindness during her final days.
