
Linda Guinan passed away on December 22, 2025, at the age of 76. Born on May 30, 1949, Linda was a faithful, generous, beloved, and cherished individual known for her compassion and kindness. She embodied the spirit of never growing up, embracing the innocence and joy of a child throughout her life.
Linda was a loving wife to Thomas. Together, they were devoted parents to Tommy (Angela), Tim (Jess), and Danielle, and proud grandparents to Bryce, Teddy, Jayce, Ryder, Joanna, Trey, and Abby. Her sister Susan, brother Jimmyand siste-in-law Joan, as well as numerous nieces and nephews, were dear to her heart, as were all her cherished friends.
Passionate about cooking and baking, Linda was the heart of her family and took pride in being a dedicated and hard-working matriarch. Traveling brought her joy, especially on family trips to Disney where she delighted most in spoiling her grandchildren. Her compassionate spirit shone through as she never missed any of her family's activities, ranging from games to plays, with a special emphasis on attending concerts, celebrated for the musical talent that ran in her family.
A lover of animals and a crochet enthusiast, Linda ensured that every newborn, whether family or friend, received a blanket lovingly handcrafted by her. Her faith played a pivotal role in her life, and she selflessly babysat her grandchildren, transforming these times into sleepover parties they all treasured.
In her community, Linda provided support as a scout leader and led the PTA, devoting countless hours in service to others. Her legacy, as she herself would proudly claim, was in the lives of her children, which she built with Thomas through faith, love, and the mercy of Jesus Christ.
A visitation in her honor is scheduled to take place at James Funeral Home, 540 Broadway, Massapequa, NY, on December 28, 2025, from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm. The funeral mass will follow on December 29, 2025, from 9:45 am to 10:45 am at Maria Regina Roman Catholic Church, located at 3945 Jerusalem Ave, Seaford, NY. Her interment will occur at Pinelawn Memorial Park, 2030 Wellwood Ave, Farmingdale, NY, starting at 11:15 am. Linda's gentle soul will be remembered fondly by everyone she touched with her inspirational and humorous nature.
