Visitation will be held on Sunday and Monday, calling hours are 2:00 to 4:30 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:30 p.m. ~ Religious Services will be held in Chapel A at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday morning. Interment to follow to Long Island National Cemetery, 2040 Wellwood Avenue, Farmingdale ~

Family and friends are welcome to James Funeral Home on Tuesday at 9:00 a.m. before leaving for the interment.

Our mom loved books and she passed that love on to us. One of the highlights each month when we were growing up was the arrival of the Scholastic Book Club newsletter. She encouraged us to pick out several titles and then would listen as we read them out loud. Mom's passion for books - especially a good mystery - continued throughout her life.

If you'd like to donate in her memory, we suggest the Little Free Library. It's a "take a book, give a book" gathering place where neighbors share their favorite stories and literature. Since it's inception in 2009, nearly 15,000 Little Free Libraries have been built around the world.

Just go to: www.littlefreelibrary.org and click on the "GIVE" tab at the top. You'll be given the option to make a donation in someone's memory in any amount. Thanks !
