SUSIE MARIE BAIER, on September 2, 2014. Loving wife of 45 years to the late Robert Frederick Baier. Cherished mother of Barbara Baier and Edward Connolly, Lynn and Larry Stearn, Robert Baier, and the late Charles Baier. Loving grandmother of Glenn Marshall, Robert Marshall, Kimberly McLaren, Tracy Grose, Heather Falzarano, and Brittany Baier. Adored great grandmother of Holly Marshall, Carson McLaren, Cole McLaren, Makayla Marshall, Alanna Marshall, Thomas Falzarano, Aria Nicole Falzarano, and Jeffrey Grose. Admired sister of Niel Ferraiolo, the late Joseph Ferraiolo and the late Jean Schmidt.

Susie, known by everyone all of her life as Marie, was hard working in varying administrative and sales associates positions most of her life. She was fortunate to be a fabulous and attentive stay-at-home mom for her children and returned to work once they were grown. She worked until her mid 70's in a children's clothing store and was beloved by everyone who crossed her path. Marie was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend and always the most gracious hostess to all, She enjoyed bowling, mahjong, cross word puzzles and was a word Jumble enthusiast.

Susie Marie Baier was the matriarch and nucleus of the entire family. All family members, immediate and extended, as well as friends, knew her home was always a place they could come to in times of crisis or just for a friendly vist.

Visitation will be held on September 24, 2014 (Wednesday) from 2:00 to 4:30 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:30 p.m. ~ Funeral mass will be held on September 25, 2014 (Thursday) at 10:45 a.m. Maria Regina RC Church, 3945 Jerusalem Avenue, Seaford, NY 11783 ~ Interment to follow, Holy Rood Cemetery, Old Country Road, Westbury, New York ~

Family and friends are welcome to James Funeral Home on Thursday at 9:45 a.m. before leaving for the funeral mass.
